The new ELA Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) go into effect in 2009 2010 and have significant differences from the previous version. These sessions provide information about the new ELAR/SLAR TEKS so participants understand the new strands, knowledge and skills statements, and student expectations. The English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) and College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) are a part of this Texas Education Agency (TEA) training.
