Hello!

I am your Brazos High School counselor, Mrs. Mieth.

BHS Counseling Mission & Philosophy

I will work with faculty, staff, students, parents, and the whole Brazos community to provide services that meet our students' needs. I strive to provide resources to assist parents, students, and faculty in creating a positive environment and helping encourage our students to be successful in all endeavors.

I believe that mental wellness is the key to our success. If you are struggling with your mental health, you will struggle in other aspects of life. I believe that we can be well and find success in life as long as we are willing and able. I believe you should never be afraid to ask for help!

My Role as Your Counselor

Counsel individuals and small groups of students to meet identified needs.

Consult with parents, teachers, and other staff regarding concerns about students' needs.

Prepare students for testing and college/career/military after high school.

Coordinate people and resources in the community for the benefit of students.

Participate in planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program to serve all students.

Be familiar with and adhere to the ethical, legal, and professional standards of the counseling profession.
